Businesses like it.
There are days (and sometimes a few) when you think about cash flow or financial situation of your business and think, if there were more hours in a day I could earn more money.
Or maybe you see another business owner and think, how do they do it? How do they have a growing business, with money flowing in and stay on top of absolutely everything in their lives? It seems like they have more hours available to them!
not everyone is crazy hard work?
Today, I will lift the lid on the secrets everyone has their act together, work their butts 100% of the day did not look back to take a breath. Here’s what happened. Yes, all people and particularly business owners work hard, damn hard. But it’s not all about working harder.
At the end of the day, working harder and harder can often end in confusion, a sense of overwhelm and very little in the way of productivity. You may have heard the saying, “a confused mind says no”. So what if there was a better way to help bring the money you need without falling into a pattern of more, more, more when it comes to jobs?
how does it happen?
Falling into the trap of “more means working more money” is easy to get into. These changes usually start slowly and then before you realize what is happening, you work longer and longer with a slight increase in revenue.
The interesting thing is that when you are in the midst of chaos, you will find it difficult to see it happen, unless someone can give some signs to look for.

Take time to step back from your business and see your role.
Look at how your day pans out and consider the following:
Do you flit from one project to another?
Do you find you say yes more than you say no?
Do you start your day without your goals in mind?
Do you delegate part of your job?
Do you micro-manage?
Do you end the day you feel like you’ve reached the goal of every / to do list?
take a step back and take a breath.
Every business owner has moments when you need cash in your account. But there are only so many hours in each day. What you need to remember is that there is nothing wrong with being busy, just make sure you’re earning while you are busy.
The following are some tips to get you into the mindset of working smarter:
Plan your day.
Start your day with your end goal in mind means that your focus is sharp and you know how to get from A to B.
When you are in work mode, turn off your email, your phone (if possible) and social media. By removing “nuisance down the rabbit hole” you can keep your mind on the job at hand.
Know your limitations and understand that saying could not be as good for your business to say yes. Choose the right clients for you and know that taking only what you can manage means that you and your clients will benefit.
Get your finances sorted.
Understand that if you know what you need to spend each month, you’ll know what you need to get. That way you can set the hours you need to work on the spot and you do not try to shut down at the end of the month.
Know what you are good at.
Understand that you are not brilliant in every way. I know, hard to realize, but it’s true. By acknowledging your weaknesses, you can hire the right experts to do the work of a kick ass (in half the time you can) and make your business look fabulous!
Do not believe the hype.
